With a career spanning 20 years, Pedro Pondé is one of the most prolific musicians in Bahia's current independent scene. Accompanied by Ricardo Machado (drums), Tatiana Trad (bass) and Angelo Canja Daltro (guitar), he brings to this concert – centred on the album Simples Assim – a contemporary pop identity, creative and human, with traces of MPB, reggae, rock and Bahian music.

To these, we can add membranophones, idiophones, and aerophones in this exploration of musical instruments of Portuguese origin.

This concert offers a musical journey through three centuries of Portuguese symphonic music full of sonic contrasts.

Two composers, poets and performers who are artistic exponents of their respective countries, two men of causes with political pasts (one was Minister of Culture of Cape Verde, the other Secretary of Culture of Paraíba), together in a concert celebrating their 60th birthdays, the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April and the centenary of Amílcar Cabral's birth.
