Emmy Curl, live from the JN newsroom

Casa da Música and Jornal de Notícias are kicking off another cycle of Concerts in the Newsroom today, 8 January, at 3 p.m. With the aim of promoting music and publicising Casa da Música’s activities, the Concerts in the Newsroom of Jornal de Notícias are broadcast live on their respective digital platforms.

This first concert features Emmy Curl, an artist who will be performing the following day at Casa da Música’s 2026 Season Roots Festival.

Born and raised in the mountains of Vila Real, emmy Curl rescues ancient melodies from Trás-os-Montes and Celtic folklore, bringing them into the present with her own deeply contemporary language.
