When music tells stories
Some stories are experienced in different ways, depending on one’s age, perspective and personal relationship with music. In May, the Remix Ensemble Casa da Música presents two concerts under the musical direction of Brad Lubman — demonstrating how music can take on form, voice and movement on stage.
Two concerts, two stories
Pinocchio, a restless wooden puppet who hates school and has a nose that never lies. In a narrated concert for families, the Remix Ensemble Casa da Música brings to life the adventures of the puppet who wanted to be a real boy — narrated by António Miguel Teixeira.
A world of adventure, humour and fantasy where children and adults enter together into a story to listen to and imagine together.
Conceived by Stravinsky and the poet C. F. Ramuz based on Russian folk tales, The Soldier’s Tale , was conceived from the outset as a touring production for seven instruments, narration, acting and dance. Choreographed and performed by Sara Garcia, with narration by Marta Carvalho — an experience of intense drama, where music, words and movement come together around a soldier, a devil and a violin that changes everything.
