Catálogo da Natureza is a concert for piano and electronics that explores soundscapes inspired by water, birds and places. As part of the Raízes/Ressonâncias series, this programme invites us to listen to nature as filtered through the sensibilities of composers from different eras and regions – from Ravel to Albéniz, from Bach to Lacerda. Here, electronics do not appear as a contrast, but rather as an extension of the piano’s timbral possibilities, amplifying and contextualising the gesture, the silence and the resonance of sounds in space. Between memory and listening to the present, Catálogo da Natureza is a sensitive inventory of the perception of the natural world, filtered through the experience and sensibility of the composers and artists involved.
