A tribute to Thad Jones, the trumpeter, composer and arranger who co-founded one of the most impactful orchestras on the New York jazz scene with drummer Mel Lewis. There’s no one better than Nick Marchione, the first trumpet of the current Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, to lead Orquestra Jazz de Matosinhos through the sonorities of Thad Jones’ themes.
