At 63, Karl Seglem is still one of Norway’s most exciting and innovative contemporary tenor saxophonists and composers. His catalogue includes no less than 40 albums – and it’s to present his latest, Mytevegar (myth.path.hope), that he visits us. Although Seglem’s experimental jazz sounds typically Nordic, it incorporates and fuses traditional instruments, folk expressions, electronic loops, improvisation, traces of world music and rock elements in a unique and masterful way. For those who don’t know him, he’s a treasure to discover.
