MUSIC FOR CHRISTMAS
20 – 23 December
Christmas brings us one of the masterpieces of the Baroque, Händel’s oratorio Messiah, in a special programme starring the Baroque Orchestra, the Casa da Música Choir and the Children’s Choir. With beautiful arias for solo voices and imposing choral sections, including the famous “Alleluia”, this will certainly be a concert to remember. Beyond sacred music, but with plenty of fantasy and no less splendour, the Symphony Orchestra and conductor Delyana Lazarova present a programme featuring Rimski-Korsakoff’s brilliant scores, inspired by two traditional Christmas tales.
