Filipa Vinhas

Filipa Vinhas has been the solo oboist of the Remix Ensemble Casa da Música since 2023. She began her musical studies at the Escola Profissional e Artística do Vale do Ave with Domingos Freitas. In 2011, she began her Bachelor’s degree at the Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo (ESMAE) with Ricardo Lopes, later continuing her studies at the Universität der Künste Berlin with Washington Barella.

In 2018, she pursued a Master’s degree in Music Performance at ESMAE and subsequently participated in the Erasmus Programme at the Musikhochschule Lübeck, studying with Diethelm Jonas. She completed her Master’s with the highest distinction.

Driven by a strong interest in modern and contemporary music, Filipa wrote her Master’s dissertation on B. A. Zimmermann’s Oboe Concerto, presenting a preliminary analysis of the work. In 2021, she gave her first lecture on the topic in Porto.

She has attended several masterclasses with renowned teachers such as Ralph van Daal, Christian Wetzel, Omar Zoboli, Diethelm Jonas, Nick Deutsch, Kai Frömbgen, Samuel Bastos, Viola Wilmsen, and Stefan Schilli, among others. She studied Baroque oboe with Barbara Ferrara and Pedro Castro.
