OPEN REHEARSALS
Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música
Every year, we welcome hundreds of students (and others) to these rehearsals held by Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música. The door is open to those who wish to attend final tests of major works and discover how an orchestra works, how sounds are combined, and how gestures are decoded. Before each free-access rehearsal, we produce a guide so the public can better understand what they will hear.

ORELHUDO!
Originally designed for the primary education cycle, Orelhudo! has been expanded to a growing group of educators, from preschool to vocational music education, and today is universally accessible, entering both classrooms and our homes without restrictions. It is a tool that enables daily musical listening, framing the themes it offers within anniversaries or events in the civil calendar. A didactic and fun way to connect music with History, it has transcended its original school context to become an important part of Casa da Música’s social media. Free and easy to use, it features musical creations from around the globe, reaching thousands of Portuguese-speaking homes. In addition to the standard version, there is also a teacher version, which provides educators with an even more effective use of this tool. It is a true national listening plan, a constantly evolving project that will feature new functionalities this year to enhance sharing on social media.
