Matosinhos String Quartet

Quarteto de Cordas de Matosinhos performs two essential pieces from the repertoire of composers from completely different geographies. From the brilliant South American creator Alberto Ginastera comes what is considered the most representative work of the nationalist idiom, where we can hear the evocation of the gauchos and the Argentine pampas. Following this is a quartet by Felix Mendelssohn, a piece that the composer wrote at the tender age of 18, drawing significant inspiration from the genius Beethoven.
