Eliana Glass + Anne Paceo + Mammal Hands
An Australian-born singer, pianist, and visual artist based in New York, Eliana Glass holds a degree in jazz from The New School, where she studied under mentors such as Andrew Cyrille, Ben Street, Kris Davis, and Jay Clayton. She sings intimate, minimalist romantic ballads with a voice that gently soothes the fears of a world undergoing profound and dangerous change. Her debut album, E, released last year by the French label Shelter Press, reveals a special focus on simplicity. Combining her own songs with those of Carla Bley and Anette Peacock, it showcases a unique and enchanting relationship between voice and piano.
Standard-bearer of the new jazz crossover movement, French drummer and composer Anne Paceo has been highly praised, both for her technique and for the musical vision she demonstrates, imbued with trance and spirituality. Always reinventing herself and surprising audiences, she presents in this concert, alongside Maya Cros (keyboards), Lilian Mille (trumpet), Gauthier Toux (piano), Christophe Panzani (saxophone) and Cynthia Abraham (vocals), her eighth album of original works, Atlantis, inspired by the ocean and all dimensions of the aquatic element.
Combining jazz, contemporary classical, electronics, folk and minimalism, Mammal Hands are at the forefront of a new wave of British artists who defy genre boundaries. The trio from Norwich, formed by Jordan Smart (saxophone), Nick Smart (piano) and Rob Turner (drums, ex-GoGo Penguin), quickly won the favour of such renowned musicians as Bonobo and Jamie Cullum, as a result of their creative approach. Intense and hypnotic concerts are the hallmark of a project with international acclaim, which tonight presents to the audience at Casa da Música the cinematic, human and poignant sound of Circada, their latest album.

Performances start promptly at the scheduled time. The doors to the halls are open to the public 30 minutes beforehand. Once the show has started, entry will not be allowed except during the intermission or for events with programmes which allow for this, as determined by the ushers.

Building, Ticket Office, and Shop – Open daily from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. On show days, the building remains open until the end of the performance, and the ticket office and shop stay open until half an hour after it starts.
Cloakroom – Casa da Música offers a free cloakroom service, available on all show days.
Café – Open daily from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. On concert days, the hours extend until the start of the concert.
Shop – While waiting for the show to start or during the interval, take the opportunity to visit our shop, where you will find publications, CDs, and other items.
If this is your first time visiting us, you might find the answers to some frequently asked questions below helpful.
Do I need to print the tickets purchased online? No. After making a purchase on our website, you will receive an email with your tickets attached, which you can either print or present at the entrance of the Hall.
Purchase of discounted tickets. For holders of discounted tickets, it is mandatory to present proof of eligibility at the entrance of the Hall. Failure to present such proof may prevent access to the show.
Can I take photos or record the concert? No. You may take non-flash photos inside the hall only until the concert begins, after which no sound or image recording is allowed.
Can I leave and re-enter during a concert? Yes. If you need to leave the hall during the concert, you can only re-enter, following the guidance of the hall assistants, between movements or at the end of a piece. You may have to occupy a seat that does not correspond to the one on your ticket.
Can I use my mobile phone or tablet during a concert? No. The use of mobile phones or tablets inside the hall (even in silent mode) is highly disruptive to the concentration of the audience and musicians due to the light emitted from the screens.
I can’t attend a concert; can I exchange my ticket? It is not possible to exchange or refund tickets, so please check your tickets at the time of purchase.
