Lovre Marušić

PIANO CYCLE

After winning the Santa Cecilia International Competition in Porto, Lovre Marušić secured the 1st prize at the International Music Festival in Paris and the silver medal at the Cleveland International Competition. Following his recent success at the Telekom Beethoven International Competition, where he won the 2nd prize and the Robert Schumann Prize, he returns to Porto with a program marked by Beethoven’s music — from the lightness of the Bagatelles to the seriousness of his first sonata, and the extreme emotion of the famous Moonlight Sonata. The pianist also presents two nocturnes by his Croatian compatriot Božidar Kunc and concludes the recital with a piece by Liszt inspired by Senancour’s novel Obermann.
