In accordance with the provisions of Decree-Law 23/2014, of February 14, music shows are classified as for children over 6 years old – Article 27(1)(b) – and children aged 3 or under can attend shows of an artistic nature aimed at children, classified as “For all audiences”, provided that the capacity of the room is reduced by 20%, with all spectators counting towards capacity.
In accordance with Casa da Música’s Evacuation and Emergency Plan, no rigid objects for transporting children (baby carriages, baby carriers, etc.) will be allowed into the rooms.
The Open Rehearsal is an invitation from the orchestra’s musicians and conductor for us to get to know their work better and understand how a concert is prepared.
It’s an important time of work for all the musicians, so some rules have been agreed with the orchestra.
The presence of groups coming to watch should not jeopardize the rehearsal. To wit:
1. Groups must be inside the hall before the start of the rehearsal (10:00), seated in the rows indicated, which means that they will have to arrive at Casa da Música in advance, at around 9:30. The doors to the room will close at 10:00 and no one will be allowed in after this time.
2. Tickets for these groups can be picked up at the Casa da Música box office (Floor 1) by a member of the group’s management on arrival, before being taken to the hall.
3. Entry to the hall must be orderly and always follow the instructions of the assistants present. Use of the first audience is forbidden except for access for people with reduced mobility.
4. Silence is mandatory.
5. It is not permitted to film, photograph, use cell phones or other devices with a sound signal during the rehearsal. Cell phone users will be encouraged to turn off their devices, or to wait for the rest of the group outside the room.
6. Eating and drinking are not allowed in the room.
7. Leaving to go to the toilet during the rehearsal is subject to re-entry into the room. Returning to your seat will depend on the rehearsal program and any breaks in rehearsal.
8. Minors must always be accompanied by an adult when leaving the room. This responsibility will never be asked of Casa da Música or its employees.
9. The orchestra’s management authorizes the presence of groups in the first part of the rehearsal (approximately one hour).
Failure to comply with these rules could have implications for the group’s presence in the room, and they could be asked to leave and jeopardize future requests to take part in this activity.
