ECHO Rising stars 2026

Every year, the European Concert Hall Organisation (ECHO), which brings together the leading concert halls in Europe, selects a group of young performers whom it nominates as Rising Stars: musicians on the rise, poised to soon grace the major international stages. Many have already passed through Casa da Música in that capacity, performing alongside our resident ensembles or in solo recitals. Namely: Alisa Weilerstein (cello), Benjamin Appl (baritone), Benjamin Schmid (violin), Carlos Ferreira (clarinet), Christoph Sietzen (percussion), Diana Tishchenko (violin), Horácio Ferreira (clarinet), Igor Levit (piano), João Barradas (accordion), Jörg Widmann (clarinet), Josep-Ramon Olivé (baritone), Julia Pusker (violin), Khatia Buniatishvili (piano), Letícia Moreno (violin), Nemanja Radulovic (violin), Patricia Kopatchinskaja (violin), Matosinhos String Quartet, and Sean Shibe (classical and electric guitar). In this year’s edition, over a single weekend, three soloists and two chamber music groups will perform in recitals: a unique opportunity to discover live some of the talents shaping the future of European music.
