Psychedelia, American folk, and Portuguese popular music are some of the colors that intersect in the rich, multi-instrumental palette of Jasmim, the stage name of singer-songwriter Martim Braz Teixeira.

Aaron Parks brings a new trio to Casa da Música, bringing together two of the most distinctive voices on the European scene: the Danish double bassist Anders Christensen, a musician renowned for his work with Paul Motian and for his lyrical and deeply thoughtful approach to the instrument; and the Portuguese drummer André Sousa Machado, whose musical rapport with the pianist developed in Lisbon.

The orchestra’s fifth anniversary is celebrated with Mahler at the Sala Suggia. The Alto Minho Youth Orchestra, conducted by Miguel Sepúlveda, performs one of the most monumental works in the orchestral repertoire: Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 2, ‘Resurrection’.
