The mini-documentary “Venham + 300” focuses on the creation of the show of the same name by the Casa da Música Education Service as part of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of 25 April 1974. With music by José Afonso, students from 60 vocational music schools and philharmonic bands from all over the country were involved. The pieces were arranged by composition students from the Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo (ESMAE). In the end, the best piece was honoured with the Casa da Música/ESMAE 2024 Composition Prize. On stage was an orchestra of 100 flutes, 100 clarinets and 100 saxophones, as well as 20 percussionists.
