Sounds of Portugal

06 – 30 AUG

In August, Casa da Música is still open, waiting for your visit and with musical proposals that can make it even more appealing. We’re talking about the new edition of the Sound of Portugal cycle, with two voices that carry fado within them – Ana Pinhal and Vânia Leal – and the Eiró quartet, dedicated to traditional Portuguese music. Three days a week you can find one of these proposals in Sala 2 and, if you combine the concert with a visit (free or guided), you can benefit from a discount. Tuesdays bring the traditional fado trio of Ana Pinhal, a singer especially recognised for her bold Fado Violado project, while Wednesdays bring the voice of Vânia Leal, resident singer at the emblematic typical restaurant O Fado. The week closes with a flourish to the sound of chulas, viras and other traditional dances from the Eiró quartet.
