Summer at Casa
20 Jun – 07 Sep
From São João night on the Casa da Música loading dock to the September rentrée on Avenida dos Aliados, the summer programme is synonymous with a diversity of formats, genres and stages. There are dozens of concerts ranging from symphonic music to new rock, pop and jazz, not forgetting the art of deejaying, philharmonic bands, fado and much more. The finalists of the Suggia Prize (cello) and the Santa Cecília Competition (piano) will perform, along with the Symphony Orchestra, the Matosinhos Jazz Orchestra, Sonópolis and the Casa da Música Children’s Choir, among many others. On traditional and open-air stages, the music takes over the spaces and invites all audiences.
