Leo Middea celebrates 10 years of his career, seven of them spent in Portugal. Five albums after his first tour in Argentina, at just 18 years old with only a guitar as company, Middea arrives at Casa da Música preceded by a 3rd place win in the 2024 Festival da Canção and sold-out venues around the world.

The core inspiration is 70s classic rock, but their ears are attuned to what’s being created today, ensuring that the drive for innovation never fades. This is Sadhäna, a band from Porto that, in their debut EP You Won’t Believe What Happened Last Night, explores existential questions and everyday themes.

David Saliamonas is one of the most unique and exciting pianists of today. Constantly touring the world, he comes to Casa da Música to perform a programme featuring works by George Gershwin and Franz Liszt.

With a remarkable academic background, including studies under Maria João Pires at the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth, Daniel Blumenthal at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, and Milana Chernyavska at the Reina Sofia School in Madrid, Rafael Kyrychenko has been awarded prizes at international competitions such as Maria Canals, Aarhus, Lugano, and Vigo.

Riqueni honors tradition and leaves a unique mark on contemporary music, captivating audiences worldwide and solidifying his position as a master of flamenco guitar.

Mr. Capelão guides us through the history of fado. Having worked his entire life in a fado house in Mouraria, on a street that even bears his name, he takes us back to the 19th century, to Africa, to Brazil, and inevitably returns to the 12 strings of the Portuguese guitar, the viola accompaniment, and the voice of the fado singer. Coro Casa da Música focuses on the works of Alejandro Yagüe, a contemporary Spanish composer who passed away in 2017, combining them with pieces by Portuguese authors from our time.

The Banda da Armada has stood out for including some of the best Portuguese instrumentalists of our time in its ranks, performing on national stages as well as abroad.
